CROWD MASK

The Crowd mask is a nonprofit project. We created a fashion accessory in the quest of making it more acceptable and seamless to wear respiratory protection. For each mask sold 5% of the cost will go to donating 100 masks to the elderly care systems in Sweden.

Crowd is made of high-quality soft stretch denim fabric, prewashed before production. It is designed to fit different face shapes and sizes and can be adjusted by the nose clip and elastic ear loops.

SUSTAINABLE

The fabric Crowd mask is produced in Stockholm upon demand in limited edition. It is made out of leftover fabric from our earlier productions. Instead of a chemical printing process, laser printing is used for prints on the mask.

What is the reason to wear a mask?

The Crowd was born from the wish to show consideration. If by wearing a mask there is a chance to reduce the risk for us to get sick or spread the virus it is a very simple act through which we can help society and relieve the healthcare system not taking anything away from the system.

Many countries all over the world have called upon or recommended their citizens to wear a mask in addition to social distancing.

There are different studies and articles written on the subject concluding
that even a cloth mask will reduce the risk of getting infected, or for a person to infect others, if fitted closely to the face and used correctly. That getting sick depends on how many virus particles that you are exposed to. Whether the Covid-19 virus is airborne and will stay in the air for a longer period, how and how far it travels and, what would be a safe distance indoors or outdoors. As well as how washing with soap or
detergent can inactivate it.

It is up to each one of us to take responsibility for using our judgment of the best ways to stay healthy and keep our surroundings safe.

Note that the Crowd mask is not certified for clinical environments, such as hospitals or allied health clinics. Wearing the mask cannot remove the risk of infection. — While wearing a face mask continue to follow the guidelines of The Public Health Agency of Sweden.
