MELONIA

The Melonia shoe attracted attention by the British Design Museum and got nominated for Best Design 2011 together with Comme des Garçons, Lanvin, Jil Sander and Gareth Pugh. The concept was about how we could move the tailoring to the future with help of technology and innovation where we could with the help of scanning, modify the shoes structure digitally and produce it perfectly tailored.

A year later the Melonia shoe was put to be featured in an exhibition showcasing up-and-coming designers at the prestigious Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

In Almedalen 2015 we presented the first ever 3D printed shoes in steel and had a discussion about swedish steel and the importance of using Swedish materials and craftsmanship. This was a collaboration together with Jernkontoret (Association of steel).
